Yoga And Aerobics:
Aerobic exercises are crucial to maintain cardiovascular endurance as aerobic fitness is severely compromised in PwSCI. These include flexibility training to improve range of motion and reduce spasticity and strength- based aerobic training enhances the ability to perform activities of daily living and mobility, as well as preventing injury from muscle weakness or imbalance. PwSCI using wheelchairs can actively participate in warm up exercises, wheelchair aerobics and wheelchair yoga that ensures cardiovascular and upper body fitness.
